Dr Sheridan Wilson

Medical Oncologist

Dr Wilson completed her medical oncology specialist training in Auckland and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2012. She undertook a 2-year clinical research fellowship in breast cancer at the British Columbia Cancer Agency, Vancouver, Canada before returning to New Zealand in 2014.

Dr Wilson was awarded the Genesis Trust Murray Jackson Fellowship for research on circulating tumour DNA as a biomarker in advanced breast cancer. With collaborators at the University of Otago and the University of Auckland she continues to research blood-based biomarkers in breast cancer. Sheridan leads the medical oncology breast team at Auckland District Health Board and in 2018 she established a pilot program at Auckland City Hospital for neoadjuvant treatment of breast cancer. 

Sheridan participates in the national breast special interest group and the Auckland Breast Cancer Study Group, she is a member of American Society of Clinical Oncology, New Zealand Society for Oncology and Breast Cancer Trials. Sheridan is a senior lecturer at the University of Auckland; she is a Board Director for Breast Cancer Trials and a Board Trustee for Sweet Louise.
